Prolouge

The summer night was silent and calm in Seattle. In the horizion you can see the lights from the bustling downtown city. A warm wind blew on the cloudless night, which was uncommon in Seattle. Rachel Hunt was in her bedroom sitting on her bed with the phone up to her ear. Her favorite radio station was playing as she read her emails. "Did you get it?" Sammi, her best friend, asked on the other line. "Hold on... I'm looking..."Rachel Replied. She was in her pajamas, and was only sixteen, but people could easily mistaken her for a young model. She had long, dirty blond hair with chiseled features, brown eyes, and was tall. Her skin was perfectly tanned. She knows she's beautiful, but she doens't let it go to her head. She never makes fun of people, or gets all fancy for school, or anything like that. She wanted to be Rachel, and thats who she is.

They were looking to see if Rachel got admitted to North Gate, the best dance school in the Northwest. "How excited would your parents be if you get in?" Sammi asked. "My mom would be proud... I don't really care what Jason thinks." Rachel said, looking through her inbox.

Her parents weren't really regular parents. Her mom was a sweet southern jewel that ran a public hair salon... Her father on the other hand... Well, she had no idea what he does, and she doesn't care... and that he's probably the worst dad of all time.

"Is he home?" Sammi said. Rachel laughed. "When is he ever home? I don't even know where he is now adays..." She gasped. "I'm.... I'm in!" She cried, her face lighting up.They both squeeled. "I can't believe we'll be going to the same school again!" Sammi said. "Me Niether! Hold on, i gotta tellmy mom, i'll call you back!" She hung up and rushed down the stairs.

Her mom was in the kitchen, finishing dinner and talking on the phone. "Mom!" Rachel yelled. Her mother gave her the death stare, turned, and smiled. She was also gorgeous. Haley Hunt had blonde hair and bright green eyes. "yes, I'm looking forward to it... I'll see you tomorrow then..." She smiled. "Alright... Bye.

Rachel knew what she was doing. She was making plans with a man other than her father... It should bug her, but hey, he wasn't around for them. Her mother deserved more than Jason. "Next time, wait until I'm done talking. What is it?"

"I got accepted to North Gate!" Rachel said, smiling. "That's great, Sugar!" Her mother yelled. "Mom. Don't call me that." Rached said. That was what Jason used to call her when she was little. She didn't mind it back then, but now that she knew that truth about him, she didn't want to hear it at all.

"Oh... right. Sorry." her mother said, turning towards the dinner. "Who's the guy?" Her mom bit her lip, then continued stirring. "Harry Goldman." She said. Rachel raised her eyebrows. "THE harry goldman? the Govenor of Washington?" She nodded. "He's coming over for dinner tomorrow, and I want you to be on your best behavior." Rachel rolled her eyes. "Yes, Mother..." The phone suddenly rang. Rachel's mom stopped what she was doing and went for the phone. She looked at the caller ID, her face blank.

"Its your father... Answer it." Haley Hunt said. "Tell him I'm in the shower... and don't tell him anything about tomorrow..." Great.. What does HE want? she thought to herself as she took the phone.

"Hello?"

Chapter 1

Quebec, Canada

"Hey Sugar." Jason Hunt said quietly. He was in a dark hotel room. He held the phone in one hand, and high powered night vision binoculars in the other. He wore a dark blue long sleeved shirt, black pants, and boots. He was completely invisible. He had a square face. His face was nothing anyone could describe. He wasn't attractive, or ugly. His was wasn't squared, or round. He could be someone one minute, change something little like eye color, and be someone completely different... Which is perfect for his work.

"How are you and your mom doin'? You takin' good care of her for me, Scout?" "WE have been taking care of each other for a while, Father." She answered coldly. He put his goggles down. "I'm sorry about that... Listen, is your mom there?" Silence. He put the binoculars up to face. "She's in the shower."

"She usually takes her showers in the morning..." Jason said quickly.
"She forgot to today." She answered back at the same speed.
"Alright... Just tell her I'm going to come home on Friday... I'm having a few days off... We can finally catch up..."

Silence.
"Alright... Hey, Dad... I have something to tell you--"
"I'm sorry Sugar, i gotta go. I'll call you soon"
"You said that a week ago." She snapped.
"Was it? I'm sorry Baby... I really got to go now. Love you. Tell your Mom." He waited for a response, but realized that he was listening to a dead line.

He wanted desperately wanted to see them again, to hold them. He loved his family like no other man loved his family before. He wanted to hug his daughter, and kiss his wife, and lie down in his bed in Seattle... but he has to do this. They may not see it, but he's doing this all for them. He's protecting them by doing this.

Physical and mental to get it to the peak of perfection. The weeks of advanced combat training, the amount of time learning every tactic ever created, advanced firearm training... All for them. He couldn't think about them anymore. He had to think about the mission.

Smooth like water, cool as ice. is the saying that's kept him doing what he was doing for so long. His mentor always said that during training simulations, or covert missions throughout the middle east. His objective was to take down a powerful drug lord, recieve his latest client information, and the money without killing the druglord. His hotel suite was across the street, floor 27.

He spotted his car drive in a minute ago when he was on the phone with Rachel. that's why he had to interupt. He spent the whole day memorizing the floor layout, his personal information, clients, and others. He went to the suitcase on his bed, and opened it.

It was go time.

(( Sorry, I've been doing some school stuff Razz here's your next chapter))

Chapter 2

Carlos Montoya watched the rain run down the window of the dark night. He took a sip of his drink and smiled. Tonight is going to make him millions... Not that he didn't have millions already, but he'll have even more now that a client as asked for his special merchandise. He wasn't always successful, though.

He grew up in a small mexican town about an hour away from Mexico City. He hated it there. His mother died while giving birth to him, and his father was a lazy farmer with a drinking problem. When he was 12, he started selling his father's guns to some gang members. It was a good thing his father was paranoid of people taking his piece of shit he called a farm. As soon as me made enough money, he took a bus to Mexico City, and started his business there.

Ten Years later, he is a whole other man. His black hair was neatly gelled. His face was pleasant, but cruel at the same time. His smooth, tan skin was glowing dimmly in his expensive suit. He looked had the Business man package.

He took another sip of his drink when he heard the door knock. He turned to see Three men walk in. They all looked like powerful men, all in suits. Except for the one in the middle. He was built like a tank. He was bald. He had a brown beard around his mouth. His suit fit tight over his very large muscles. His eyes were the color of cold steel. And he had a large scar across his face. If there was a visual of what "Gone throug hell and back" looked like, this man would be the perfect picture.

"Good evening, Gentlemen..." Montoya said, smiling. "You are... Senor Montoya?" The tank said in a thick Russian accent. "That is correct. which means you must by Comrade Slankov?" He nodded. "Well, take a seat, please!" He motioned them to sit. The two men, obviously Slankov's bodyguards, stood behind the couch. "Now, what can I do for You--?" "If it is okay with you, Senor Montoya, i would like a drink before we begin. The trip here was very long and tiring."

"Of course! let me call room service!" Montoya said, smiling and reaching for the phone.

***

The door knocked minutes later. "Room Service." A voice said with thickly accented Russian. A man opened it, and out came the waiter with his cart of multiple drinks. He went up to Montoya first. "Drink, Sir?" "No thank you." Montoya replied. The man went to Slankov. "Drink, Sir?" Slankov looked up and raised his eyebrows. He answered in Russian, the waiter smiled and started a small conversation with the man that Montoya didn't understand, nor care for.

Once Slankov got his drink, the waiter went for the door, but the large man stopped him. "I might need a drink in a minute, comrade." Slankov said to him in Russian. The waiter smiled and nodded, moving his cart next to the wall. "Uh... Mister, Slankov... I don't think it would be wise to have him here during our mission..." "Don't be foolish, Senor Montoya. This man barely knows english."

They both looked over at the waiter, obviously having no idea what they were talking about. Montoya nodded. "Well then... Lets get to business." "Indeed. Lets" Slankov lifted up a suitcase and put it on the table. Montoya followed suit with a folder. "I have the serial numbers, and codes for you're weapons. Along with where you can find them in exact quardinants, and all." Montoya said, placing it on the counter. "250,000. American. As you asked." Slankov said, putting in the case code, revealing the money.

Slankov took the folder, and opened it, looking closely at the papers. Once satisfied, he put the folder down and stood up. It was Montoya's turn to look at the money. He examined the stack of bills, once satisfied, they both stood up. "I believe everything is in order." Montoya said, smiling. "I believe so... A drink, to our comprimise, eh?" He signaled for the waiter to come over. He came over, and started to mix drinks.

"To the future!" Slankov said, laughing as they clanked glasses and took a sip. Slankov coughed a bit, and patted Montoya on the back. "I will definately call you for more assistance, Comrade Montoya..." He coughed again. "I will be looking forward to it, Comrade." Slankov started to talk, but started coughing violently. He fell to the floor unconscious.

Before Montoya could react, he was hit across the head with a bottle.

**

Jason Hunt hit his target across the head. His attention wasn't on him. He was instructed to be taken alive, and had no real combat experience. His attention was on the two large Russian body guards. Hunt's instincts went into action.

Both men swung at him. He blocked both with his forearm and kicked the man on the left in his knee, then grabs the man on the right's arm, swinging him into his partner. They toppled over, but got up quickly. One man planned to tackle him, Hunt moved swiftly and hit the man in the back hard with a elbow drive. He topple to the ground. Hunt finished him by kicking him in the jaw.

The second one was slower, due to his damaged knee, but he was bigger, and stronger. Not only that, but Montoya joined the fight. Hunt dodged a fist, and pushed Montoya pack as he was charging at him. The large man got a punch in the stomach, but Hunt was prepared for the second one. He grabbed his hand, twisted until he heard the snap, then spun him around, and slammed his head against the table. He went limp.

He looked around for Montoya. He went into the bedroom! Hunt pulled out his gun and moved quickly to the entryway. It was dark. he couldn't see what was in front of him. He moved in quickly, taking cover behind something he couldn't make out. Then, he was blinded. gunshots filled the room, and Hunt heard something he didn't want to. A female scream.

Hunt looked as he saw Montoya and a woman knelt down next to a figure... A teenage girl. Hunt was frozen. He shot a teenage girl in the chest! She looked as old as his baby girl. Montoya looked up at Hunt, engulfed with rage, tears coming from his eyes.

Jason pointed his gun at the three. Crying from the woman, and heavy breathing from both men. With one fluid motion, Hunt put the gun down, exited the room, grabbed the folder and money, and stormed out without looking back, but he could hear the scream of rage coming from Carlos Montoya.

Chapter 3

Two days later
Seattle Washington

Harry Goldman was a heavyset man. He wore glasses on his large nose. His black hair was balding, and the wear and tear of being a politician made him look a bit older than he actually is. His suit was a tad bit small for his round body. He kisses Rache's mother on the cheek, then shook Rachel's hand. "Wow, what a firm grip you have... must have gotten it from your father..." He said, smiling. Rachel returned the smile unpleasasntly. "Another thing I'm cursed with..." She said. "Well." Haley interjected. "Lets have dinner... I think Jason will be here shortly."

***

Jason Hunt pulled into his driveway, and climbed out. He looked around. The breeze was warm against his skin. The trees in the neighborhood blew with it. The moon was out, but was blocked from time to time from clouds. He smiled. He missed it here. The city, the country, especially his family. After killing Montoya's daughter, he talked about it to people in the agency. They said the best thing to do was take a break from all this, spend time with the ones you love, time he never had for them. He walked to the front door, inserted his keys, and walked in.

He placed his bag near the front door, and walked into the kitchen. His beautiful wife was talking to his daughter. He walked toward them when he was stopped by a large man coming out of the bathroom. He turned to him, made eye contact with Jason's hard glare, then immediately looked down. He took a seat by his wife. HIS chair. "I- I'm home... I didn't know you had company..." Jason said, leaving it hang in the air. Haley looked at him, the way he looked at him when she had news he knew he didn't want to hear.

"I know that look." Jason said, looking at the man in his seat, then back at her. "Ahh no... No..." Tears swelled up in her eyes. The man looked at him, uncomfortable. "I've been meaning to tell you for a while, Jason... but you were always doing something that kept you from actually seeing us." She said loudly. "That's all changed! I'm taking a vacation for a while! I saw something out there that made me realize that i couldn't live a single day without you, or Rachel! I was gonna tell ya tonight, but apparently you had other plans!" He yelled, pointing to Goldman

"I'm sorry... Jason... I think you need to leave if you aren't going to take this like an adult." Goldman said, gaining confidence. "Hey, buddy. This is still my house. You can't just take my family and kick me out!" Hunt said. "He's right, Jason... You should leave..." Haley said, tears falling onto her cheek. He looked at the two, then at his daughter. She wasn't staring at him, or his mother. She was eating. She didn't even care... Goldman got up, and grabbed Jason by the shoulders. "Harry! I think he has the idea..." Haley said, knowing perfectly well what Jason could do.

Jason Hunt pulled his shoulder away, grabbed his luggage, and drove off.

Chapter 4

2 months later

Rachel Hunt woke up to her alarm clock. She got up slowly, and stretched. She smiled. Today was the first day of North Gate Academy! She got ready, putting on the uniform, brushing her teeth, putting her hair in a ponytail, and went downstairs for breakfast. Her mom was in the kitchen, cooking a feast, like she always does on this day. "Morning, Mom..." Rachel said, sitting down. She started to wolf down her scrambled eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns. "Alright, you'll be home alone for a while tonight, I'm going out with Harry."

"Alright." She said while chewing. Ever since her father left, they have been seeing each other more and more. Goldman grew a back bone from that night.. Sure, her father tried to call them, tried to see them, tried to spend time with them... but they didn't want any of it. Her mother would get teary eyed multiple times, but Rachel doesn't really have feelings for him.

She finished as soon as she heard a car horn. "Sami is here to take me to school! Bye Mom!" She said, getting up and rushing towards the door.

***

Jason Hunt woke up to his alarm clock. He moaned and tried to turn it off. He layed there for a moment, feeling the pain of life. He drank too much again. He hated himself for it, but he did anyways. Hell, he just lost everything he cared for in this world, who cares if he gets wasted. He also quit the CIA, because: A) he had nothing to take care for and B) his last mission tore him apart. He killed an innocent girl! He was trained to do better than that. The therapists at the agency told him that mistakes happened. Well, not for him.

What didn't stop was him working out. He was still at his physical peak. He got up and went to wash his face in the mirror. He now had a five o'clock shadow. His short hair had bed head. His eyes were alert, always looking around. Today was his daughter's first day of school. No matter what, he was always there for the first day.

He tried to be there, but her mother wouldn't let him anywhere near them. He turned on the TV and had some cereal.

***

Two men sat in a black SUV across the house belonging to Jason Hunt. One of the men held up a cell phone to his ear. "He hasn't left since last night... Yes, Sir. We are in position... What do you want us to do...? Alright." He put down the phone. "Boss says to clear out... But make sure we know if he leaves or not... Its going down tonight..."

Chapter 5

A black SUV parked outside of the Hunt residence. It was the dead of night, nothing was moving, the only thing illuminating a light was the streetlight. A group of men climbed out, all wearing black and night vision goggles. They moved silently and quickly, all surrounding the house. "In position." The leader said in his throat mic. "Good. Remember, take her alive, and without a single bruise, or hair gone. Is that understood?" A voice responded. "Copy that." The leader replied. The man signaled to his men that it was go time. They climbed into the house with ease. They had a small security system, which was rather odd.

They walked around silently, looking in every room. The mother was in her master bedroom, sound asleep. Perfect. Then they reached the target's room. The opened the door. Rachel Hunt slept soundly in her bed as well, her ipod still in her ears. The leader walked up to her, and covered her mouth. She woke up instantly, trying to scream, but it was too late. The man stuck a needle in her arm, and she drifted back into sleep. He hauled her over his shoulder, and walked out. They put the window back in, put the girl in the SUV, and drove off.

The leader of the team swore under his breath. He was to careless and stepped on the broken glass at the bottom of the window! "Stay alert. He might know we're here." He said through the mic. He traveled through the house, looking for any other traps he could step on. He made it to the bedroom, and extremely slowly opened the door. The room was still dark, and the form of a body was still in bed. He moved in, taking out the neede, getting ready for a fight. He flipped open the covers to see the bed was taken up by a bunch of pillows. Suddenly, he was blinded. someone turned on the lights! That was the last thing he saw.

**

After turning on the lights, Jason Hunt grabbed the man's head, and twisted. He heard the glass breaking as soon as it happened. He got up quickly and searched for his old things from his operative days. He found the safe under a bunch of clothes, and got what he was looking for. He saw the man walk in seconds later, not noticing the figure next to the door. That was a bad mistake. He placed the body on the floor, and looked at the needle. It was just a drug that made you fall asleep. Interesting. Hewalked out of the bedroom. He moved his way through the house quietly, making sure not to be in line of sight from the night vision goggles. Four men with pistols. They weren't here to kill him, obviously. But he wasn't going to leave them alive. They were all in the living room, waiting for their boss to come out with him.

Hunt Turned on the lights, they all screamed in pain, trying to rip the goggles off. Hunt kicked in a mans knee, and swung his fist at his face with full force. His head connected to the side of the table, and he wasn't going to get back up any time soon. A man got his goggles off and was looking at hunt. He aimed his pistol, but before he could fire it, Hunt kicked it up in the air. He then hit the man in the throat with the heel of his hand, and pushed him down. He was going to suffocate to death. He picked up the pistol, and squeezed off two shots in the head of the other two.

Hunt went back into his bedroom, and looked for a mic. He found it on the man's throat, and ear. He put it on, and spoke quietly. "Target is secure." Silence... He was about to try it again, but a voice came into his ear. "Nice try, Jason. We had vitals tied up to the men. All dead. Impressive. Those were my best men." Hunt didn't reply. "Fortunately, my second team had much better luck in getting your daughter." Hunt's heart sank. "Who is this?" he said harshly. " Only a man whose life is ruined thanks to you. Don't worry, She's not going to be my sex slave, or anything of that nature. I'm just going to be a loving father... and everything you weren't for her." " L-let her go.... you... you can have my head, i ruined your life, not her." Hunt said shakily.

"No. You were a secondary compared to her." Silence. "Then, I'm going to hunt you down, and kill you." Hunt said simply, gaining control of himself. The voice laughed. "Yes, i knew you would say that... I left a little clue in your daughter's room... Better act fast, because You will have some other things to worry about than me... After all, you did murder five people, and kidnapped your own daughter." "That doesn't make any sense."

"But it does. you have no evidence of us coming into your daughter's house, and stealing her... and you never will. Don't worry, I will take excellent care of her." The voice went dead. Hunt ripped it off, and screamed at the top of his lungs.

Chapter 6

His baby girl! That son of a bitch! How could he take the only thing he cared about in this world? He remembers 16 years ago, in that hostpital. Haley and him tried twice to have a baby, but they turned out to be miscarriges. Then Rachel was born, perfectly healthy, and that's when Jason Hunt swore that he will not lose another baby.

But he failed! Oh God! Stop! get a hold of yourself! Cool as water, smooth as ice. He said in his head. He was speeding down the road, frantically trying to get to his old house. His mind was racing! He couldn't call the police, that would be the last resort. He had to find that clue... He wanted him to find him? No. He wants me to go insane. That's not going to happen. He's going to find him, then he's going to put a bullet in his head. He got to the house. He jumped out and ran for the door, then stopped. Should he tell Haley? She would call the cops... and want to know why he knows this... He rushed to the backyard, and his instincts came in.

He saw that the window was opened a bit, probably from the bastards that took his daughter. He climbed in, and silently walked up into her room. He turned the knob, and slowly opened it. It all went to hell. Something made a loud crash in the room as he opened it. Damn! He heard a scream from Haley. He didn't know what to do! He turned to see his wife standing at the top of the stairs. Her eyes went wide. "What the hell are you doing here?" She breathed. "Get out! I told you not to come back!" She yelled. "Hal- Haley-- Haley!" He said, grabbing her by the shoulders, staring at her.

"Rachel is gone." He said.

Chapter 7

Haley Hunt went wide eyed, and rushed into Rachel's room. She looked everywhere. All Jason did was stand in the doorway. She stood in the middle of the room, then turned to him staring at him with tear filled eyes. Jason explained everything that happened to him, and how he got here. She absolutely didn't like it, but she nodded and listened, with tears rolling down her cheeks. "The police can help us, Jason--" "No. No cops. They won't be able to find her, and he wants me to try and find her... He's arrogant, and doesn't know th--" Hunt turned to see the round figure of Harry Goldman at the foot of the staircase.

"What the hell are you doing here?" He said harshly. "Harry, Rachel is gone and--" "What the fuck did you do with her!" He yelled at Jason. He turned to Rachel. "Can you tell your 'boyfriend' to step off so I can tell him whats going on?" He retold the story, but Goldman didn't accept it. "Bullshit--" "Seriously, Haley. What do you see in this stubborn politician?" She looked at him, then at Goldman. "Listen, Jason knows how to get these guys, Harry. Just buy him some time with the police... Please?" He looked at her, and nodded quickly.

Jason Hunt ran through all the possible places they could place something. Under the bed, dresser, pillow case, etc. He found something. On top of the ceiling fan. He looked at it... an earpiece? He placed it in his ear, and listened. The monotone voice kept reciting numbers. After a few more times listening, He memorized the numbers. He heard a squeel from behind.

"Harry! No!" Haley yelled. Jason turned to see the round man swing a blunt object into his head. He toppled over. "Yes, Police? This is Govenor Harry Goldman... I have an intruder, and kidnapper here..." That was the last thing Jason Hunt heard before he blacked out.

Chapter 8

"For the last time. I. Didn't. Take her!" Jason Hunt said to the room full of cops. The sun was now up, and the house wa surrounded with cops. He was handcuffed and now sitting on the couch, with a giant bump on the side of his head. He's been arguing with these asses for hours now. "Someone stole Rachel, tried to take me. I took care of them, and came here to search for clues.... just go to my house and you'll find the bodies!"

"yes... who told you this, Mr. Hunt?" The inspector asked, looking down at a notepad. "A man had an earpiece on him, I took it, and the man talked. Saying there was going to be a clue in my daughter's room." Hunt said, tired of talking to these guys. "He's lying! The only person who would steal Rachel is you!" Goldman yelled. "Can you please get this sorry excuse of a man away, from me, Please?" Hunt said calmly. "He's as intimidating as a newborn puppy... but he sure as hell doesn't look like one." He added. "Alright, Mr. Hunt. We're gonna take a break... We'll come back shortly, and we want to hear more about this... and we'll look into your house."

Jason was now alone in the living room with his wife. "How can you love that ass?" He said after a bit of silence. She looked at him. "He is very nice, loving compationate, and can protect Rachel and I." Rachel snapped. "Wait... you don't love him.... You just want protection." Hunt said. "Look. I have something to show you." He said. she walked over to him and handed him a picture of him and the family vacation in New York. "What? an old picture. What about it?" He said. She flipped it over and on it was an address. "That's... my folk's apartment address..." She nodded. "It was also on the pillow... the one place you didnt look." She said. He cussed at himself in his head. how could he have missed that? So now he has a bunch of memorized numbers, and his childhood apartment's address... "I need to get to New York. Look. You and I both know that I didn't take her. And we both know that I can get our baby girl back." he said quietly. "Give the the opprotunity... Please." Jason said, looking at her.

She slowly nodded, and ran her hand through her hair, a bobby pin fallin out, and onto Hunt's lap. She walked back to her seat as the detective came in. "It seems Mr Hunt... that there is nothing at your house. Nothing except a lot of beer bottles and old food... And some interesting passports and tickets going to Mexico... scheduled for today. For two. Who were you going with, Mr. Hunt?" The inspector asked.

"I... I didn't put those there..." Jason began. "But... they were under your name... correct details and all... Now, tell us where she is, Mr. Hunt."

As soon as the handcuffs were opened, he went into action. He punched the inspector in the face, making him topple over. He then kicked him in the head to make sure he didn't get up. He didn't want to kill these men, he just needed to get out of here! Two officers came in. He went for the man, taking out his pepper spray and taser. He pushed back the officer, then pepper sprayed him, then turned to the other and squeezed the tazer trigger. Both men were down. That took care of the people in the house... He grabbed his keys and belongings, and charged out the front door, and sped off.
